Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The faculty puts great emphasis on mastering basic theories of Electronic Power Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Information Technology Engineering in order to prepare students to handle future developments in the fields of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. A high priority is placed on laboratory work, which students are required to participate throughout their years of study. As students progress, various subjects are offered, such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering Laboratory, Design and Manufacture of Electronic Circuits, Power Engineering Laboratory, Microcomputer Control laboratory, Optical Communication Laboratory, Manufacture of Semiconductor Devices, IC Experiments, and CAD. Students are introduced to computer science training in their first year.
We train our students so that they can obtain the qualifications of Third-Class Licensed Electrician, Electric Engineering Technician, Digital Technician, and Information-Processing Engineer while in school.

Admission Policies

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering seeks those who:
(1) Are interested in new electrical and electronic devices, such as the cellular phone and digital television, and in building electronic gadgets;
(2) Are interested in clean electric energy such as fuel batteries, solar cells, and wind-generated power;
(3) Are interested in hardware and software technologies for computers.

Major facilities and apparatuses

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has ample facilities to conduct experiments and workshop practice related to the three fields of electricity, electronic, and information, which students study in their classes. Students can study practical techniques, using fuel cells, motor generator systems, and highvoltage experiment devices in the field of electricity. To do this, they are provided a clean room for producing integrated circuits in the field of electronic, and one-chip microcomputer circuit, circuit design, and simulation by personal computers, in the field of information.
